How Real Conversations Lead to Soul Esteem and Inner Peace
"Close enough to not lose you, but distant enough to not choose you."
I heard this recently, and it stopped me cold. Not because it's about relationships—
though that's where most minds go first. It's about something deeper.
It's about the excavation.
Real conversations happen when we stop performing for people and start partnering
with truth. Real life emerges when we dig past the surface-level pleasantries and get to
the bedrock of who we actually are.
But here's what nobody talks about: most people live in that middle space. Close
enough to not lose the familiar, distant enough to avoid choosing the uncomfortable
work of transformation.
Soul esteem begins when you respect yourself enough to believe better for your future.
"Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if
there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting." (Psalm 139:23-24)
This isn't about anyone else. It's not about getting over something or someone. It's
about laser focus on what you need to be the person your Heavenly Father called you to
be.
The pushback to this? Those who aren't at this place can't understand that this is a you
situation. They'll make it about them, about relationships, about anything except the
truth: you're choosing to believe you can be and do more.
More doesn't mean stuff. More means rich in gratitude, rich in thinking, rich in love, rich
in compassion, rich in vision. Rich in all the things that radiate beauty from the inside
out.
Beauty is being in harmony with who you are. The best way I can describe this? Peace.
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, designed you for this harmony. Not the kind of peace the
world gives, but the peace that surpasses understanding.
Would you welcome peace if it came knocking at your door? Would you recognize it if it
wanted to hang out for a while?
When you're done shadowboxing with your potential, peace would like to spend some
quality time with you. Are you open for that change?
Ready to stop shadowboxing and start excavating the real you?
